Among Akadema’s first innovations was the revolutionary Reptilian – a near fingerless infielder’s glove that allows for a quicker and smoother ball transfer. A new catcher’s mitt featuring “stress wedge” technology, designed with the assistance of Hall of Fame catcher Gary Carter, soon followed. Current big leaguers and baseball legends Ozzie Smith and Carl Yastrzemski have also leant their expertise to Akadema.
